Most of you may have noticed in the last 10 years or so how much more advanced Trucks have become. From a single cab pickup with just a radio and four-wheel drive maybe a Z71 package, to huge crew cabs with Bose stereo system navigation bluetooth WiFi leather seats (heated and cooled) 5 1/2, 6, 8 Ft beds spray in bed liners or carpet bed liners. Rear cameras with park assist front collision alert blind spot alert.
Pickup trucks are no longer for work in fact I think they have become more of a luxury vehicle. Which brings me to my next point if you haven’t been truck shopping in some time the cost of these trucks might shock you in fact the base model crew cab comes in with an MSRP right around $38,000, that’s a lot of money.
Now you can still get a regular cab base model with none of the extra fancy bells and whistles for right around $30K, but unless it is work most of us want a truck that fits our personality and finding that truck that has exactly what you want and need for the price you think is right will take some time.
Trucks aren’t just for the working man anymore in my opinion I would rather have a really nice truck that I love and use everyday than some $$50K sports car its just more practical to me.
I just wanted to shed a little light on he costs of a new truck and help some understand why they are so much more expensive than they used to be simply put you get a lot more bang for your buck with the average pickup nowadays.
